Bill Price Joins AKT3


AKT3 is pleased to announce that William, (Bill) Price previous Director of Systems for Barbizon Lighting has joined our organization.

Bill has been involved in the entertainment industry for many decades. He started in Vermont at Johnson State College earning a BA in Fine Arts Management. His first entrance into the commercial side was at Rocklite Engineering, many years later known as Vermont Theatrical Supplies.

After a 5-year hiatus in industrial sales Bill returned to be the Manager of Phoenix Festival Theater a community theater Company and Technical Director at Harford Community College. He then went on to the University of Maryland where he received a Master’s of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design.

Subsequently he joined Barbizon in 1993 as one of the early members of the Systems Division performing the tasks of Systems Integrator. Later Bill became the Systems Manager at Barbizon Capitol in Alexandria VA. In 2004 he assumed the position as Director of Systems for Barbizon Lighting. While at Barbizon he integrated jobs such as the original Newseum in Arlington and the current Newseum in Washington DC. He has integrated jobs from Pennsylvania to Puerto Rico. Bill is also a freelance Lighting Designer for theater and dance.
